The Wendy Dawn is a Palmer Gillnetter built in Haney, BC by Palmer Boats LTD in 1974. It was primarily used for Commercial Salmon Fishing up until around 2011 when it was being used as a livaboard in Steveston BC by 2 brothers while they were on shift working on the local Pilot Boat guiding container ships up the Fraser River.
I bought the boat from them in 2014 and converted it to a Dive Boat used for harvesting Sea Urchins. For the last 10 years I have fished the boat on the North and Central Coasts of British Columbia, Haida Gwaii and Vancouver island. I have decided to retire after 35 years of Seafood Diving and would like to see this boat keep going providing income for someone looking to become their own boss, or even just have a good economical boat to explore the coast.
I added some major upgrades in 2014, which included a new Hydraulic System, Rolling Chocks, Bow Thruster, and Dive Compressor for filling scuba tanks.
The electronics were also upgraded that year and the electrical system in 2015.
